Acalypha-wilkesiana – hybr

Beefsteak Plant . Like in A. hispida the leaves are large and broadly ovate, and they are variegated with purplish-red as the predominating colour; there are also numerous brownish and greenish blotches. The inconspicuous flowers are arranged in sparse inflorescences in the axils of the leaves, which tend to conceal them. This species is often used for cross-breeding with other species of Acalypha. Cultivation requirements are the same as for A. hispida . Note that the more light the plant has, the more variegated are the leaves.
