P. A little-known border plant which makes a fine isolated specimen — it should not be hidden by other flowers. Berkheya marco-cephala grows to about 5 ft. with large glossy leaves and tall, branching stems bearing immense globular heads of warm yellow, cornflower-like blooms in early summer. Any reasonably fertile soil suits this plant, which is increased by division in March.
