CALENDULA or POT MARIGOLD

These are among the easiest of all hardy annuals and revel in a hot, dry summer. Thin to about 10 in. apart. Self-sown seedlings are frequent. Good strains and varieties include: Chrysantha-double (chrysanthemum-like, rich yellow flowers on long stems 2 ft.),Radio (bright orange with quilted petals 20 in.), and Indian Maid (pale orange with dark maroon centre). All are excellent for cutting.
