H. A. A quickly-developing plant, giving flowers 6—7 weeks after sowing, which should be in April. Either sow and thin out or transplant if started in seed bed. The flowers of D. aurantiaca are daisy-like in orange, yellow, apricot and salmon. Height 1 ft. The flowers only open in sunny weather or in the late morning. D. barberiae is a hardy perennial with pinkish-purple flowers on 4 in. stems. It blooms from May to October. Revels in sun and a dry situation.
