P. Doxantha capreolata is the plant formerly known as Bignoma capreolata and is one of the hardiest of the bignonias. It is evergreen and best planted in the greenhouse border although in the south-west it may be grown on a warm wall. The tubular red and yellow flowers are very showy and freely produced in early summer. Increase by short-jointed lateral growths which should be rooted in a warm propagating case.
