The genus includes one species.

Epithelantha micromeris. Texas and N. Mexico. A beautiful plant with white closely set spines, it 7i rarely exceeds 2. inches in diameter. It forms compact groups of small spherical stems, depressed at the top. The white to pale pink flowers are produced at the crown in a mat of wool and spines. It requires warmth and sunshine, and the soil mixture should be a rich calcareous one.
