EUCRYPHIA

FLOWERING SHRUB. The hardiest variety is pinnatijolia with single, white flowers, and chocolate anthers in July. Grow in peaty loam and propagate from cuttings under glass. They prefer mild districts and in winter require protection if their situation is exposed to wind and weather. The variety Nymansay is more tolerant of chalky soils. This plant moves best when young.
