GALTONIA or GAPE HYACINTH

The fragrant white flowers of Galtonia candicans are tubular, of dropping habit and appear in August on a 4 ft. plant. Grow in clumps, planting the bulbs 9 in. apart and 4 in. deep in friable soil, enriched yearly with leaf mould and humus. Divide in March. Cape Hyacinth is the popular name.
