FLOWERING SHRUB. A valuable winter-which should be planted more widely as it takes up very little space. mollis bears rich yellow with narrow, twisting petals. They have some fragrance if cut and brought into a warm room. This plant shows to best advantage if grown against a fairly dark green background of conifers or yew. Perfectly hardy, although the may be damaged by really sharp frosts. A sunny and well-drained loamy soil which does not dry out too easily, are best. This plant is a slow starter. Increase by the branches in spring.
