Heptapleurum arboricola Green Rays; 15 C/60°F

The green palmate leaves look most effective when plants are growing on a single stem, but will also grow as a compact bush if the top of the plant is removed. Abhors radical changes in temperature or in amount of water that is given, and reacts by shedding leaves rather alarmingly, so keep the soil evenly moist throughout the year. However, in even temperature and in mixture that is kept evenly moist it becomes a most graceful plant. Does become quite large in time but can be pruned to shape whenever it may seem to be getting out of hand. New plants raised from a single leaf with a piece of stem attached-a heated propagating case is essential.
