KOLWITZIA AMABILIS or BEAUTY BUSH

FLOWERING SHRUB. The American name of beauty bush is well-deserved and this attractive shrub deserves to be grown more widely, as it presents no difficulties. The pink and yellow bell-shaped flowers come in arching sprays during May and June on a 7 ft. high plant of graceful habit. It blooms most freely in a hot spring and early summer, preferring light to medium rich soil. Remove old flowering wood at the end of June or in early July. Increase by cuttings of ripe shoots in July.
