L. primulinum Baker 1892

The three varieties of this lily are from upper Burma, western Yunnan and Siam.

L. primulinum var. burmaniacum grows 4-8 feet high, has two to seven medium-large, greenish-yellow Turk’s Cap flowers with purple-flecked throat. Winter-hardy in England, provided it is grown in a sheltered position.

L. primulinum var. ochraceum rises to a height of 4 feet, and has small, July-blooming, strongly reflexed wine-red flowers with green-ochre tips.

L. primulinum var. primulinum has self-coloured, primrose-yellow Turk’s Cap blooms.
