Myosotis- Forget-me-not

Biennial with attractive blue flowers.

Situation:

Among bulbous plants, as infilling in the border, or in containers. A little shade is tolerated.

Soil:

Nutritious, porous, damp soil.

Propagation:

Sow in early summer in a shady spot, prick out once and transfer to the permanent position in early autumn. Provide light frost protection.

Myosotis hybrids: Height 15-35 cm; flowers in various shades of blue in early to mid spring. Suitable for pot cultivation.

Myosotis sylvatica syn Myosotis alpestris: Height 15-50 cm; flowering season late spring and early summer; blue flowers, sometimes pink or white. This is the species usually sold as bedding plants. You will find many beautiful varieties in the catalogues.
