PARSLEY

For summer use sow in a light, rich soil, from March to April, in drills 1 in. deep and 1 ft. apart. Germination is often very slow, taking up to 5 weeks. To assist its coming up quicker, soak the seed a few hours in warm water and water the soil in dry weather until the seedlings emerge. Thin out to 9 in. apart, when large enough, and then leave to mature. For winter use, sow in July and protect in a frame or cloche. King of the Parsleys and Champion Moss Curled are good varieties.
