PEROVSKIA or RUSSIAN SAGE

FLOWERING SHRUB. Has been aptly compared to an overgrown and rather leggy lavender, but is nevertheless well worth planting. The small bluish-violet flowers appear in late summer on a plant 3 — 4 ft. tall. Does best on light dry soils. Grey-green foliage. Increase by cuttings in July.
