Piper 15°C/60°F; South East Asia

The plant you are most likely to come across here is P. ornatum, but even this may not be possible as they are all scarce. A climbing plant with most attractive waxy heart-shaped leaves that are pale green on the reverse, and a slightly deeper green on the surface with silver pink etched into the green. A most attractive plant, not easy to grow, so it is only recommended for those with well above average conditions. Warmth, light shade and evenly moist soil are necessary, also a free-draining peaty mixture. Propagate from cuttings kept in a warm propagator.
