SOLIDAGO or GOLDEN ROD

P. Indispensable late-flowering border plants, all with blooms in various shades of yellow. They succeed in sun or slight shade and are not fussy about soil. Some kinds increase very quickly, necessitating division every 2 or 3 years, which presents no difficulties. Good varieties include Golden Mosa with heads of bloom resembling mimosa and Lemore, pale primrose, both growing to about 2 ½ ft Loddon is bright yellow with a branching habit, to about 3 y2 ft and Wendy only 15 in. high. Golden Wings flowers in September and October and reaches 5 ft. and Solidago ballardii is a little taller.
