TRICHODIADEMA

Native to Cape Province, this genus comprises about 7 species. The plants are bushy and of tufted habit. All are easy to grow and flower freely. They grow throughout the year, but should be given a short resting period in January and February. They enjoy a sunny position and can be freely watered, except during the resting period. Trichodiadema densum. Has semicircular, fleshy, elongated leaves. The flowers are carmine-violet, and are produced early in the year and again late in the year.
