VENIDIUM

A. Atractive annuals with daisy-like flowers. They must have full sun and light, well-drained soil. Seeds are sometimes difficult to germinate. Sutton’s Hybrid Art Shades comprise a wide colour range including cream, white, lemon, yellow etc. mostly with black centres and maroon markings towards the base of the petals. Height about 2 ft. The Venidio-Arctotis hybrids are sterile and must be increased by cuttings in spring.. The colours include wine, mahogany-crimson, rose pink, orange-yellow etc.

VERATRUM A rather undistinguished border plant which grows to about 3 ft. with greenish-purple flowers in July. It prefers a little shade and cool, peaty soil. Easily increased by division in March. Sometimes known as false hellebore.
