WALL GARDEN

Little satisfaction attends this if the wall is of brick but where walls of the Cotswold type exist — flat stones built up without cementing — they can be made effective by packing earth into the intersections, taking care to fill interior cavities. The saxifrages, arabis, aubretia, wallflowers, cerastium, valerian, sedums, alyssum, dianthus, etc., are appropriate subjects.
